Work with FFAC staff and publicist to increase awareness of FFAC programs and events within local and regional media, including online, print, radio and television. Write press releases and articles for upcoming performances. Update event listings on local and regional websites. Collect and organize press clips. Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel required. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills.

Title Medical Grants

Since 2010 is has been our mission to provide assistance to families and friends that are dealing with cancer and heart disease. We started with our community but now we are casting a larger net across the state of New Jersey.

That’s right!  Fashion For A Cure is looking to provide financial assistance for 6 individuals! We will award six $500 grants to qualifying families who need assistance paying for their ongoing medical needs, including expenses such as surgery, counseling, physical therapy and medication as it pertains to cancer and heart disease.

Applicants must be covered by a commercial insurance policy. Applicants covered by Medicaid do not qualify for any assistance and families must meet certain income criteria.

Last year, FFAC awarded 6 grants worth $5,000. Since 2010, it has awarded nearly $17,000 in grants to New Jersey families.

Applications are accepted year-round.

Our medical grants have already helped dozens of residents in need, and we are looking to help even of more residents in the future.

The grant money distributed by the Fashion For A Cure’s Foundation has been donated to the organization by individuals, corporations and the United Health Group, a health insurance company.

Title Creative Director

Creative Director

The Creative Director will be the creative genius reinforcing the FFAC brand through the production of multimedia outlets – photography, videography, web. You will work with the Marketing Director to create various campaigns and media content to promote the show and community activities and strengthen the FFAC brand. You will be a member of the Executive Board and integral in the decision making process. Your job is also to help instill a strong, positive collaborative dynamic in staff and reinforce the organizational culture.

  • Working with the FFAC Media team to be in alignment with the branding and collaborating to maximize efficient production and archiving
  • Working with the Marketing Director to create, manage, & own the branding of FFAC through rich multimedia content
  • Coordinate with Creative Dept to ensure that all design, photo, video, and website projects are completed within deadlines.
  • Send all Creative Design content to Exec Board & Marketing Dept
  • Managing a diverse team of creatives that will need guidance and art direction
  • Understanding copyright issues and drafting contracts with freelancers on ownership of materials produced from FFAC events, campaigns, and ad hoc items (watermarking/credits)
  • Coordinate with webmaster for web content
  • Producing & directing finalist intro videos for main showcase (priority over music video)
  • Producing & directing any supplementary video content for live show & for social media (YouTube, Instagram, ETC.)
  • Participate in Director’s conference calls once every month.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and promote the mission of FFAC.
  • Gain a working knowledge of the programs, services, and operation of FFAC.
  • Advocate for FFAC and educate the community as to the general principles behind the equipment needs of disabled children.
  • Review Board of Directors meeting materials before Board of Directors meetings, and review materials pertinent to other FFAC meetings.
  • Actively participate in Board meetings in a manner conducive to harmonious and open discussion.
  • Attend at least 3 of the 4 yearly FFAC meetings.
  • Unless circumstances otherwise require, be a working member of at least one committee and devote 2 to 5 hours per month to such activity.
  • Participate in orientation sessions for new Board members.
  • Commensurate with ability, donate annually to FFAC.
  • Participate in FFAC fundraising events and, if possible, identify potential FFAC supporters, sponsors, or donors.

 

SKILLS DESIRED

  • At least 2 years of development experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • An understanding of the needs of educate about heart disease and Cancer or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience training small groups.
